Ensure adequate switch ports for the storage array and vSphere hosts that

are configured with a minimum of three VLANs for:

 Management traffic

 NFS networking (private network).

 VMware vMotion (vMotion) (private network).

Ensure the following:

 Connect Brocade switch ports to all servers, storage arrays, inter-

switch links ( ISLs)and uplinks.

 All servers and switch uplinks plug into separate switching

infrastructures and have redundant connections.

 Complete connections to the existing customer network.

Note: Brocade switches have Installation Guides providing instructions on

racking, cabling, and powering that you can refer to for details.

Note: At this point, the new equipment is being connected to the

existing customer network. Ensure that unforeseen interactions do not

cause service issues when you connect the new equipment to existing

customer infrastructure network.
