Testing overview
Introduction
This chapter provides a summary and characterization of the tests performed to
validate the solution. The goal of the testing was to characterize the performance of
the solution and component subsystems during the following scenarios:
Boot storm of all desktops
View desktop refresh of all desktops
View recompose of all desktops
McAfee antivirus full scan on all desktops
Security patch install with Microsoft SCCM
User workload testing using Login VSI
The steps used to configure McAfee and SCCM are beyond the scope of this
document.

Observed
workload
A commercial desktop workload generator was used to run an example task worker
benchmark with the Windows 7 virtual desktops. The following table shows the
observed workload that was used to size this reference architecture:
