To use hard suspend or soft suspend
1 Selectthevirtualmachine.
2 ChooseVM>Settings.
3ClicktheOptionstab,andselectPower.
4InthePowercontrolssec
tion,specifyahardsuspend(Suspend)orasoftsuspend
(SuspendGuest)operation.
5ClickOK.
Suspend or Resume a Virtual Machine
Thesuspendandresumefeaturesletyousavethecurrentstateofyourvirtualmachine
andcontinueworklaterfromthesamestate.
Beforesuspendingavirtualmachine,specifywhethertostopnetworkingbefore
suspending.See“UseHardSuspendorSoftSuspend”onpage 201.
To suspend or resume a virtual machine
Dooneofthefollowing:
Tosuspendavirtualmachine,chooseVM>Power>Suspend.
Ifthevirtualmachineisrunninginexclusivefullscreenmode,whichhidesthe
toolbar,returntowindowedmodebypressingtheCtrl+Alt+Enterkey
combination.
Whenyoususpendavirtualmachine,afilewitha.vmssextensioniscreatedin
thewo
rkingdirecto
ry.
Toresumeasuspendedvirtualmachine,selectthevirtualmachineandchooseVM
>Power>Resume.
